I turned 40 earlier this year. In looking to suitably but quietly mark the occasion, it was decided that I would upgrade my aging but trusted and true Canon 350D. I embarked on extensive investigations of the Canon product range, and ended up trying to decide on the features of the 7D, the full sensor of the 6D, or waiting for the rumoured 7D Mark II.
As my birthday approached my wife was getting rather keen for me to have something to unwrap on the day. So somewhat last minute, and helped by a nice deal at a local shop, I ended up with a 5D M3.
